Sorenson Media has begun shipping the Sorenson Squeeze 4.5 application, which allows users to compress video by importing digitized video files or digital camera output and publishing it in any of the video production application formats or digital distribution options.
Sorenson Squeeze 4.5 Compression Suite, Sorenson Squeeze 4.5 Compression Suite PowerPack and Sorenson Squeeze 4.5 for Adobe Flash, available for both Mac and Windows operating systems, contain new features that boost compression and preprocessing speeds, integrate Apple’s H.264 for output to MPEG-4 or QuickTime.
Along with providing compression rates two to three times faster than previous versions, scaling up or down between SD and HD is now twice as fast in Sorenson Squeeze 4.5. For Mac, Sorenson Squeeze 4.5 now works natively on both PowerPC and Intel-for-Mac using Mac universal binary code.
