SSL breathes new life into C100 console
Solid State Logic (SSL) will demonstrate the latest generation of its C100 digital broadcast console at NAB (booth #N4031), which now includes a smaller version of the existing Centuri Processing Core that reduces the size of the rack enclosure to a compact 2 RU while continuing to support full redundancy.
The new C100 HD-S console can now also be ordered with a B-RIO modular I/O rack, MORSE stagebox and MORSE router for a tightly integrated audio processing workflow.
The Blackrock Processor Core features optional processor core redundancy with fast changeover and hot swappable PSUs with an alarm. A secure, firewalled ‘integration computer’ provides protected access to setup and SNMP remote diagnostics.
The new B-RIO is a modular I/O panel housed in a compact 7 RU enclosure. It features an integrated 24 GPI card, five audio card expansion slots for mic, line and AES card options, and support for N+1 redundant MADI links
The Blackrock and B-RIO combination are configured to provide dedicated DSP power for processing and system configuration. The space- and cost-efficient processor and I/O options enable engineers to specify systems that meet individual technical and budgetary requirements.
The MORSE stagebox offers fiber connected modular remote I/O capability. The unit can either directly address Blackrock in simple installations or be used in conjunction with a MORSE router in multiroom environments where resource sharing is required. The router provides a modular resource sharing engine for all SSL C-Series consoles.
