Stewart Audio shows subcompact power amps
Stewart Audio, manufacturer of American-made amplifiers, has introduced three new subcompact power amplifiers: the AV25 and the CVA Series, which includes the CVA-25 and CVA-50. With each model weighing less than 1lb, these ultra-compact power amplifiers can be located in places typically off limits to traditional-sized amplifiers without compromising sound quality or power. The new amps are Energy Star compliant and incorporate Stewart Audio’s Signal Sense Power Technology (SSPT) that ensures the amplifier is only powered when there is a signal present.
The Stewart Audio AV25, CVA-25 and CVA-50 are all plenum-rated and can be installed above the ceiling or in other environmental air spaces, allowing them to be concealed for both visual and security reasons. With available pole and universal mounting brackets, the amps can be mounted behind flat-panel displays, recessed in lecterns and placed in countless other locations.
So tiny in size that it sits comfortably on one’s palm, Stewart Audio’s quarter-rack AV25 is a two-channel, Class D power amplifier with full dynamic range. The AV24 can handle both 4ohm and 8ohm loads at 35W and 25W per channel, respectively. The rear panel has LEDs for power, signal presence and clipping and features recessed gain controls. Additional features include remote volume control, balanced/unbalanced input and an external inline power supply.
The new CVA-25 and CVA-50 power amplifiers also are quarter-rack sized. These monaural Class D power amps are designed to drive both 25V and 70V distributed systems, outputting 25W and 50W as their respective model numbers imply. Featuring sonic accuracy, high efficiency, low power consumption and extended duty cycles, both deliver clean, full-range dynamic power and a rich feature set similar to the AV25.
The Stewart Audio AV25, CVA-25, and CVA-50 power amps all feature convection cooling and are available now.
