Streambox to make international debut of software encoder for mobile applications at IBC2008
Streambox will make the international debut of its Streambox Mobile Software Encoder, which is intended for streaming breaking news and events via broadband, during IBC2008.
The Mobile Software Encoder features the company’s compression technologies used by news organizations, government agencies and other organizations. It extends the newsgathering capabilities of broadcasters to deliver live breaking news and events to the newsroom faster and at a lower cost while simultaneously powering video portals and social networking sites.
The company also will highlight the integrated Streambox solution for file-based video acquisition, which consists of the Streambox Store and Forward Server, the Streambox Store and Forward Client and the Streambox Media Station. The solution provides enhanced management of field-generated video files for on-demand or scheduled playout in a variety of video formats, including raw ACT-L3 and QuickTime-wrapped ACT-L3 files.
