Streambox will introduce Streambox SBT3-5200, a 1RU video transport system, at GV Expo 2007, Nov. 14-16, in Washington, D.C.
The new system uses the Streambox ACT-L3 codec and proprietary compression technologies. The SBT3-5200 enables clients to transmit broadcast video in real time over any IP- or satellite-based network for live broadcasts, distribution to cable headends or real-time viewing on desktop or laptop clients.
Measuring 1.75in x 18.75in x 17.5in, the new encoder/decoder set makes it easier to integrate the video transport system into trucks, aircraft or other settings where space is scarce.
