Sundance to Showcase New Workflow Solutions
Irving, Texas-based Sundance Digital will introduce a new Digital Delivery Management System (DDMS) along with several new enhancements to its automation and asset management systems at NAB.
Working with various digital content delivery providers, such as Pathfire, the Sundance DDMS eliminates guesswork and minimizes labor-intensive tasks involved in bringing program-length and commercial content into the broadcast facility. Demonstrations of DDMS integrated with Pathfire and MassBrowse from Masstech will be held at the booth.
The company will also conduct live demonstrations of the remote control functionality of its largescale Titan automation system. Titan, capable of controlling hundreds of playout channels within a single facility or playlists at remote locations, will drive two channels of an Omneon server located at Sundance's Dallas headquarters. Playlist control will be handled from a Titan user-interface on the show floor. In addition, Miranda's "Allegro" encoders will be used to view low-res video from Dallas in real time, while Miranda's iControl will monitor the hardware's "health" via SNMP.
Sundance will also unveil Version 4.0 of its Fastbreak Automation system, now featuring an updated Graphical User Interface (GUI) and also sharing elements of the company's Titan system architecture. Also new is Version 3.0 of Seeker, the company's asset management system.
Sundance Digital will be in Booth SU10011.
