Super session to offer peek at broadcast future
NAB2006 will provide a glimpse of things to come during The Digital Home and the Future of Broadcasting Super Session April 24.
Scheduled to take place at 10:30 a.m. to noon in LVCC Room S222, the session will focus on the distribution of broadcast content via the Internet and emerging business models designed to take advantage of these new opportunities.
The session will include a keynote address from Intel General Manager, Content Services Group Kevin Corbett entitled “Winning in the Internet Broadcast Era.”
The “Becoming the Hybrid Network: What Must Broadcasters Do?” executive panel will explore the partnerships broadcasters should make, and identify the technology vendors involved need to assist in building an efficient infrastructure and distribute IP-based content.
The panel, moderated by The Carmel Group chairman and chief service officer Jimmy Schaeffler, will include: QUALCOMM MediaFLO vice president engineering and market development Rob Chandhok; Kasenna chairman and CEO Mark Gray; Digeo president and COO Greg Gudorf; Moviebeam CEO Tres Izzard; and NBC Universal vice president of technology standards, standards, policy and strategy Glenn Reitmeier.
