Telecast Adds HD Fiber Optic System to Viper
By TVTechnology
published Telecast Fiber Systems is introducing the Viper II modular fiber-optic system at NAB. The HD/POV supports bi-directional transmission of HD/SDI video and data signals from remote POV cameras and targets HDTV broadcasts for sports and entertainment.
The rackmountable HD/POV module sends return video/genlock/tri-level sync back to the camera and handles tally/closure signals and two duplex control data signals for both camera and PTZ applications.
Telecast says the new HD/POV fiber-optic link can help broadcasters produce complete HD coverage of a sports or entertainment event by including unique angles like behind goalposts.
