At NAB2008, TSL is introducing a range of intelligent Mains Distribution Units (MDUs) that allows broadcasters to take control of their technical infrastructure and provide flexible power management.
The flagship MDU-12PM remote power management MDU is complemented by the MDU-12-PA power alert unit, midrange MDU14-CO changeover unit and entry-level MDU-14-B power standard unit.
From the power standard unit, which provides 14 fused IEC outlets, to the power management unit with full SNMP alarm monitoring and 16 GPI inputs, the new TSL units offer the flexibility required by technical operators in broadcast applications.
The MDU14-CO provides broadcasters with a change-over 1RU MDU that automatically switches to a redundant power supply in the event of a power failure, providing 100 percent power-up time.
