T-Systems to highlight involvement with World Cup 2006 at IBC

published At IBC2004, T-Systems will focus its exhibit on several highlights, including a transfer network for World Cup 2006, an Internet trading portal for electronic film, event broadcasting, and digital cinema.
Details include:
- World Cup 2006: T-Systems is building a special transfer network for all games being broadcast from 12 stadiums in Germany. Other services include the international broadcasting of radio and TV signals, for which mainly fiber-optic and satellite connections will be used.
- Footage box: An Internet trading portal for electronic film material that consolidates media archives into large archive platforms. A search machine is tailored specially to the requirements of footage trading.
- Event broadcasting: T-Systems provides mobile digital units for functions and events.
- Digital cinema: T-Systems provides and operates the systems necessary for digital cinema, including the transmission of films, playout, archiving and content security.
