TV One's Edge Blending Feature Now Available
TV One has made its edge blending available for download on the entire CORIO2 C2-7000 line of multiformat scaling seamless switchers. All new C2-7000 and several C2-1000 Series will have edge blending as a standard feature.
Edge blending is available on all the C2-7000 Series which includes the C2-7100, C2-7200 and C2-7300. Edge blending is not limited to high-resolution RGB computer images, but includes composite video, S-Video, YUV or YPbPr Component Video, SD-SDI, HD-SDI, DVI or any of the multiple formats supported by the various models. Gamma correction is employed to compensate for many of the problems faced when doing edge blending between projectors.
The edge blending feature can also be used for other effects, such as adding a soft edge to single or dual picture-in-picture (PIP) windows on each output. Adding Edge Blending to the downconverter allows the user create a great effect with the PIP and can also be used with the 720p projectors in the field.
Reaction to its edge blending feature at InfoComm 2006 prompted TV One to add it to its C2-1150 downconverter, C2-1250 upconverter and cross converter, and C2-1350 upconverter, downconverter and crossconverter. The free download and users manual for existing customers is available at the TV One Tech Support Web site.
