USDTV to Keynote CBA@NAB
U.S. Digital Television LLC, (USDTV) will present the keynote address at The Community Broadcasters Association (CBA)'s annual spring meeting "CBA@NAB" on Monday, April 24 at 6:30pm. The event takes place during NAB2006 in Las Vegas.
USDTV's presentation, "New Revenue for your Digital Future" will provide an update on the company's plans and the new revenue potential for low power stations that broadcast in digital. USDTV offers an all-digital, over-the-air: pay TV service in the U.S. that gives consumers an alternative to cable and satellite. The company partners with local broadcasters in each market to lease unused digital spectrum enabling USDTV to offer 12 of cable's category-leading channels in DVD-quality picture and theater-quality sound for $19.95.
Combined with all the over-the-air digital broadcasts in a market USDTV consumers typically receive 30-50 channels of television service.
Recently, USDTV said it would convert its entire network to MPEG-4 AVC, which will also allow it to launch VOD and DVR services early next year.
The CBA represents over 2,600 Class A and LPTV stations nationwide. The association is dedicated to the advancement and protection of the Class A and LPTV industry as well as ensuring its successful transition into the digital marketplace.
