Utah Scientific bridges IT, broadcast technology with UTAH-400 iP router
At IBC2007, Utah Scientific will make the European debut of its UTAH-400 iP Managed Gigabit Ethernet Workgroup Router, a 24-port IP router that gives broadcasters real-time, on-the-fly control of port priority, security groups and port speed.
The UTAH-400 iP router is intended to increase workflow efficiency for broadcasters or in any situation where large video files or high bit rate streaming video are transferred over an Ethernet network. It is designed to be the bridge that allows IT and traditional broadcast technology to be integrated seamlessly.
The company will also highlight new enhancements to the UTAH-400 router family, including the UTAH-400 TDM, based on a time-division multiplexing (TDM) architecture.
The UTAH-400/32 digital routing switcher, offering matrix sizes from 8 x 8 to 32 x 32, is housed in a 2RU frame that includes dual power supplies and dual crosspoint/controller cards.
Utah Scientific will also show the new UTAH-400/288R frame for large routers up to 288 x 288.
