Vector 3 rolls out VECTORBOX IPTV integrated server
Vector 3 launched VECTORBOX IPTV, an integrated video server specifically designed for playout and branding of mobile and Web programming, at IBC2008.
With native support for MPEG-4 and H.264, VECTORBOX IPTV is directly interfaced to third-party distribution platforms, such as Apple QuickTime or Microsoft Windows Media streaming servers.
With automation and computer graphics capabilities, VECTORBOX IPTV allows content owners with a broadcast-quality platform to schedule, brand and playout their programming. Media ingested or produced using third-party nonlinear editing (NLE) systems are automatically imported and referenced by the VECTORBOX catalog. Playlists are put together using the integrated scheduling tools or imported from third-party systems through an XML gateway.
MXF compliant, VECTORBOX IPTV allows for clips in a variety of codecs and wrappers to be scheduled and played out back-to-back.
