Videotek is launching the SQM-355 module for its signal quality manager system.
The module analyzes one MPEG stream, ensuring that it complies with Technical Report ETR 101-290, first, second and third priorities for DVB and ATSC type standards, according to Videotek. The SQM-355 also reports bit rates, PID and transport stream information to SQM monitoring and control software.
The SQM is designed to be a facility's operation center checkpoint, keeping track of analog, digital and MPEG audio and video. The system finds errors in the signal path and locates them.
