Guangdong TV, a provincial TV station in China, is using Vinten Vision plan-and-tilt heads and tripods for its mobile units at the Olympic Games.
Guangdong TV said the Vinten equipment is easy to operate, and the Vision systems offer the high-capacity payloads that are necessary for holding teleprompters.
The Vision series is designed for demanding outside broadcast environments, where reliability and precise camera control are critical. Combining Vinten’s Perfect Balance counterbalance system with the latest Thin Film (TF) drag mechanism, they deliver complete control and consistent performance, even in difficult or fast-moving broadcasting conditions.
The smallest Vision head — the Vinten Vision 100 system — supports camera payloads of 15lbs-44lbs. The OB vans are carrying a total of 16 Vision heads and tripod systems.
