Volicon To Introduce New Monitoring Products at IBC2006
Volicon will be showing several established products at IBC2006 and also is planning to introduce some new ones.
New at the show is the Volicon RPM (remote program monitor) for MSO and cable operators. Developed to help operators monitor the quality of their transmissions in central and unmanned headend facilities, RPM can monitor and record more than 500 channels for audio and video signal integrity and will notify the operator via e-mail or SMS alerts if the signal does not conform to specifications. RPM also detects frozen video, low audio levels and loss of video.
Another Volicon product debuting at the show is Observer Uno. This is the latest addition to the Observer line and is designed for single-channel applications. Uno offers a cost-effective system for broadcasters wanting monitoring, storage, search capabilities and retrieval functionality at an entry-level price.
The company will also be showcasing its flagship Observer monitoring and logging system with upgraded Observer 3.0 software. New features include multirate streaming and closed captioning display. With Observer, multiple channels of content are available on-demand, live or archived from any desktop location. The system gives users total video control and allows them to search, retrieve, view, analyze, share, annotate and export video.
Volicon will be in Stand 9.247.
