Wescam Debuts XR Three-Axes Camera Head
Wescam recently released its XR camera head, designed to be, according to the company, "the most stable head in the industry."
The XR uses precise, simultaneous steering and stabilization with continuous, unrestricted pan, tilt and roll capability. It also incorporates three-axes technology and an open architecture built to create space efficiency, allowing the camera to sweep within its three rings. The XR's architecture is compatible with most cameras and lens combinations, including HD cameras, the ARRI 435 and the Fuji 87:1 video lens.
Among other features, the unit has a payload capacity of 150 pounds and all-digital controls. It's suited for all ground applications including boat, crane, camera car and cable car.
