Adelphia Communications, the cable operator, and Gotuit Media, a provider of personalized on demand products, have announced an extension of their partnership to bring Gotuit’s on demand products to Adelphia’s digital subscribers in the Western New York area.
The deal includes Gotuit’s Music On Demand, News On Demand, and Sports On Demand. Adelphia customers in Western New York now have the ability to instantly view music videos, sporting events and related content and access the latest breaking news stories through their standard remote control.
Gotuit said Music On Demand houses the largest video-on-demand library of music videos and related content that exists today. News On Demand is a television newscast produced exclusively for VOD. It allows subscribers complete control over what parts of a news program they want to watch. Sports On Demand offers indexed programming from professional and collegiate sports including: football, basketball, baseball, hockey, lacrosse, boxing and wrestling, among others.
Customers who subscribe to digital cable service automatically have access to Adelphia OnDemand with their existing equipment, while customers with classic cable simply need a digital receiver for access to OnDemand.
