Alchemist Ph.C satisfies standards conversion needs at Copenhagen climate conference
The United Nations Climate Change Conference, which wraps up today in Copenhagen, has been broadcast to countries worldwide with the help of Snell's Alchemist Ph.C-HD motion-compensated standards converter.
The Alchemist Ph.C-HD was installed at the international broadcasting center to make transparent standards conversion available to international broadcasters reporting on Copenhagen proceedings.
Negotiators, ministers and world leaders assembled in the Danish capital to take part in the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, an annual review of the implementation of the convention.
Broadcasters from across the globe gathered in Copenhagen and used the host broadcaster feeds and facilities to deliver coverage to their home audiences. The Alchemist Ph.C-HD was made available for broadcasters needing to convert 625/50 European signals to 525/60 or 1080i/59.94 (North America/Korea/Japan) and other international standards.
