BUF Technology has integrated Fast Forward Video’s Recon compact DVR board into its new Sport instant replay system.
BUF's Sport is a complete, stand-alone instant-replay system that with help from the miniature Recon can capture and playout broadcast-quality content.
When combined with notebook hard drives or solid-state memory, the Recon becomes a small, durable DVR board. Based on the same technology underlying FFV's OMEGA Deck DVR, the Recon provides all of the electronics required for a broadcast-quality DVR on a board measuring 2.8inx3.9in.
With fully integrated Motion JPEG compression capability, Sport operators accomplish broadcast-quality video capture and playback at 60fps, resolution greater than 550 lines at 4:1 compression, and compression ratios ranging from 4:1 to 20:1.
