CBC relies on Chyron DUET, Aprisa VCS for Olympics
By TVTechnology
published The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. (CBC) used the Chyron DUET and Aprisa VCS for its coverage of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Debuting at the Sydney games in 2000, and then repeating in Salt Lake City in 2002, the CBC chose the DUET and Aprisa combination for the third straight Olympics in Athens.
The multichannel Aprisa VCS gives production crews the ability to have varied and multiple sources of moving video for backgrounds and set-design elements. The CBC provided more than 300 hours of Olympic coverage from Athens.
