CBS Sports, CBS Digital Media transform CBS SportsLine.com
CBS SportsLine.com has significantly enhanced its online content offering with original video, new talent and game logs as part of CBS Digital Media’s cable bypass strategy.
The new features, which went live Sept. 9, are intended to make CBS SportLine.com a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week extension of CBS Sports. Visitors can watch video shot exclusively for the site and access the CBS Sports library of sports coverage.
Highlights include:
- a new homepage, including “The EyeBox,” an on-page video player offering visitors the ability to build their own playlist with free broadband video from CBS SportsLine.com and CBS Sports
- Glogs, or game logs, which bring original color commentary to the live Internet sports game experience
- new talent and marquee columnists
- a new network of nearly 100 stringers covering local sports around the country.
CBS SportsLine.com has rolled out three new shows with video assets from CBS Sports: "Visa NFL Highlights Show," "Subway Post Game Show" and the "SEC College Football Highlights Show, presented by Geico.”
Additionally, CBS SportsLine.com will produce three original video segments centered on its fantasy games: "Who's Hot, Who's Not," "Roster Trends Report" and "Start 'em and Sit 'em."
