Christie unveils next-generation Roadster projectors
Christie Digital has introduced a new generation of purpose-built Christie Roadster projectors. The S+12K and the S+16K use advanced three-chip DLP technology and feature 10-bit image processing, SXGA+ (1400x1050) resolution and 1500-1800:1 contrast ratio.
The S+12K delivers 10,000 ANSI lumens and the S+16K delivers 14,000 ANSI lumens – the highest brightness in the Roadster category.
The projectors sport completely redesigned bodies that include built-in handles and stackers, multiple rigging points (top and bottom) and a patented cooling design. They are compatible with sources ranging from VGA to QXGA, and all current types of HDTV/DTV formats. They will respond to most kinds of projection control, including RS-232, RS-422, IR remote, wired remote, direct control panel input and over the LAN via onboard ChristieNETT.
Advanced features include comprehensive color adjustment (CCA), edge-blending, and optional warping capability. The new designs also leverage existing Christie lenses and modules. The S+12K has a typical lamp life of 1250 hours and the S+16K has 1000 hours of lamp life.
