CinemaNow adds ABC News to VOD service

CinemaNow, a provider of video-on-demand content for broadband, and ABC have announced a wide-range of ABC News programming will be available for streaming or download via the CinemaNow Web site.

CinemaNow will offer viewers 25 clips a week from ABC News as part of an expanding TV-on-demand line-up. For the first time, ABC News programming will be available on a download-to-own basis, increasing the ways ABC News is making its news programming available to consumers at their convenience.

CinemaNow will offer subscribers daily reports from “Good Morning America,” “World News Tonight with Peter Jennings,” “Nightline,” “Primetime Live,” and “20/20” in addition to newsmaker interviews and entertainment and business reports from ABC News. This news content will be available as part of CinemaNow’s Premium Pass subscription service ($9.95 a month) and will be found in the “News” section of the site. In the months ahead select special reports from ABC News will also be made available on a pay-per-view and download-to-own basis.
