Dayang introduces broadcast-quality nonlinear video editor
Dayang’s DP-Edit-Plus video editor
Dayang's new DP-Edit-Plus is a broadcast-quality nonlinear video editor that offers full real-time editing of up to four layers. An integral Dayang D3-CG character generator enables titles and subtitles to be handled on an independent timeline, simplifying precise synchronization with audio and video content. Customized media resource management allows efficient file authorization, browsing, format-conversion, storage and playout in shared-media networks.
The editor supports multiple window display, multi-track and multiple-storyboard editing as well as high-quality forward/reverse/still cueing. Occupying an 8U chassis, DP-Edit-Plus consists of five modules: software codec, effects engine, hardware driver, resource manager and Dayang Redbridge I/O board. Each module can be individually upgraded in line with technical advances and evolving standards.
Compatible with DV/DVCAM/DVCPRO 25/50, MPEG-2 and MXF, the system can perform fast ingest of video, audio and remote timecode. I/O connectivity includes embedded SDI, 4:2:2 component YUV and key. High and low resolution elements and streamed-media clips can be ingested simultaneously.
