Displays function as travel information portal for Milwaukee airport
Milwaukee is using NEC MultiSync LCD4610 monitors designed for viewing in bright ambient light.
Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport has deployed a new network of 46in displays as part of the airport's multimillion-dollar expansion project. The displays provide multi-mode transportation information for travelers.
In addition to consolidating flight information from multiple carriers into a central portal, NEC MultiSync LCD4610 displays are delivering Amtrak train arrivals and departures and visual paging information for the hearing impaired.
In the airport’s sunlit South Skywalk, the large screens produce clear, glare-free images. Using the LCD4610's tile matrix feature and FlightView Dispatch software, four of the displays hang together in the central terminal, delivering a large-scale, real-time flight data display where passengers can track incoming flights and regional weather conditions.
