EVS to showcase new IP Director at IBC
At IBC2006, EVS, a provider of tapeless broadcast playout technology, will showcase a new version of its IP Director, a software suite that allows the logging and management of video content in TV production.
EVS says that IP Director combined with the EVS XT server network unify key elements of the production environment and accelerate the migration to a tapeless workflow. The IP Director software suite includes ingest and playout control, logging, asset management, editing, browsing and highlights functions.
IP Director is based on a flexible client/server architecture that works over TCP/IP. This enables an operator to manage networked XT servers from different locations and control any channel from any server on the network.
The IP Control Panel is designed to control XT server channels with VTR-like functions with more advanced features such as snap to live, chaining clips between the preview/program outputs, building, editing and rolling clip lists.
