Harris unveils Videotek DDM-800 demodulator
By TVTechnology
published Harris released its latest Videotek DDM-800 digital demodulator, which now includes QAM in support of cable TV and 8VSB demodulation capability. The DDM-800 can demodulate 64 QAM and 256 QAM modulated signals and convert them to DVB-ASI output format. The demodulated MPEG-2 output streams then can be locally decoded, analyzed, multiplexed or passed to a cable facility via QAM modulators or to a data distribution network. These additional QAM capabilities make the DDM-800 applicable to clear channel applications via cable or 8VSB off-air systems.
