Helius recently outlined its roadmap for increasing the scope and reach of IP video access for businesses.
The company offers IP video deployment from a central point to multiple remote locations. Based on customer demands, Helius is moving video from the remote receiver to additional multiple playback displays in remote locations.
Helius' roadmap calls for the introduction of IP-enabled set-top boxes and handheld devices that work in conjunction with the MediaGate Router appliances in Helius' distributed IP video architecture.
Using set-top boxes and personal video devices as client platforms, Helius will enable customers to move video to the edge of their network and beyond, while maintaining management and device control.
