K-WILL adds 720p format to picture quality analyzer line
K-WILL has unveiled the VP21P video quality evaluation system. The VP21P is designed to analyze the 720p HD format – resolutions of 1280 x 720 pixels in progressive scan – on a fully automated and real-time basis.
The VP21P utilizes a double-stimulus video quality evaluation system that performs pixel-by-pixel measurement and comparison of a reference, and copies videos as specified in ITU J.144.
The system has a variety of functions including: debugging encoder/decoder operations, quality evaluation of broadcast systems, automatic dubbing, DVD authoring and DVD playback.
Its VP21H was awarded a Broadcast Engineering’s “Pick Hit Award” at the 2005 NAB convention.
