Latin America-based broadcasters increasingly demand HD solutions
Latin America is beginning to heat up in terms of HD broadcasting and workflow technology demand. Vendors are finding a growing number of companies looking to modernize broadcast operations as well as an increase in sophistication and understanding of the technology experts in the region. In particular, in-country systems integrators and resellers are proliferating in Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia and Argentina to help transition stations from SD programming and implement HD systems.
Front Porch has recently made inroads into the Latin American broadcast market over the past year. The company has initiated joint sales efforts with new distributors in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Chile and Peru, as well as a Miami-based distributor serving Latin America and the Caribbean.
Working through its partners, Front Porch has already closed two sales deploying its DIVArchive for teleport company Teleport International Buenos Aires (TIBA) and to PUMA Television Venezuela, a new broadcaster based in Caracas.
Front Porch’s progress in Latin America has been sped by the company’s relationships with the aforementioned systems integrators and resellers. In particular, the company has sold its products through ADLine in Brazil, Hercasa in Venezuela, VideoElec in Colombia and AQB in Argentina in the past six months.
