Miranda Technologies recently announced the launch of a new Densité Series HD-SDI signal measurement probe, which will be on display at NAB2006.
The Densité Series HD/SD SDI Control Probe (HCP-1801) operates with Miranda's iControl end-to-end facility monitoring system to provide effective signal measurement, with detection of video freeze, video black, as well as alarming on a host of parameters such as video luma and white levels. The HD Control Probe also performs extensive audio telemetry on up to 16 individual channels, with alarming on parameters such as silence, overload, and level minimum and maximum. In addition, the probe performs analysis and extraction of closed captioning, Dolby E metadata and AFD.
The probe operates with 1080i/720p HD as well as 525/625 SD, and provides streaming video and audio level meters to allow operators to see the signals they are monitoring from a remote location. The HD Control Probe also provides distribution amplification, with four HD/SD SDI outputs.
