MultiDyne to debut four-channel SDI and audio fiber optic transport at IBC2006

At IBC2006 MultiDyne will introduce the DTV-4200, a four-channel SDI and audio fiber-optic transport with built-in SDI frame synchronizers. The system will support four SDI, 16 audio or eight AES/SPDIF channels. A 1RU, modular tray will house up to three DVM-4200, DVM-8200 or DIM-8200 cards.

The DTV-4000 supports 24-bit stereo audio flat from 20kHz to 20kHz with S/N greater than 90dB and THD less than 0.05 percent. The systems supports 110/220 VAC and optionally for 48 VDC. The Optical budget exceeds 30dBm. The system is available with 1310nm and 1550nm wavelength lasers for WDM application. Coarse-Wave Division Multiplexing is available with 1470nm, 1490nm, 1510nm, 1530nm, 1550nm, 1570nm, 1590nm, 1610nm wavelength Lasers.

Applications include links from studio to transmitter, studio to studio, studio to CATV head-end, distance learning, satellite up and down links, common carrier transport, Telco circuits, distance learning, Intelligent Transportation Systems and back-haul feeds from special events.
