North Plains unveils TeleScope Video Studio for asset management
North Plains said 90 percent of the application features can be accessed with one click.
TeleScope Video Studio, a new product from North Plains Systems, is designed to deliver the feature set and performance of an enterprise class video asset management system in an affordable one-box solution.
Based on the company's TeleScope Media Application Platform, TeleScope Video Studio is optimized around the Windows SQL server platform and is suited for video management in production, collaboration, management, distribution and archives.
North Plains said 90 percent of the application features can be accessed with one click. Users can access the system via a Web client or optional native Windows and Macintosh clients.
TeleScope Video Studio comes with pre-defined templates for tape and digital file management. It also supports flexible mapping of embedded or associated video metadata and dynamic referencing of video metadata to other project data.
In a collaboration environment, it offers complete check-out/check-in functionality, tracks all versions and enables users to check out a file, modify the original and check the file back in as a new version with all versions automatically linked to one another. It also offers annotation functionality.
Video Studio provides built-in, predefined security models for the most common user types, including administrator, editor and users. The LDAP adapter provides integration with an organization's user name and password directory, allowing users to use their same user name and password.
