TANDBERG Television launches next wave in wireless cameras
TANDBERG Television has unveiled the new Very Low Delay (VLD) digital wireless camera transmitter for digital electronic newsgathering solutions.
The VLD digital wireless camera transmitter brings signal delay down to as low as 8ms. The move overcomes the problems of video and audio latency that live event, news and sports broadcasters face when using traditional wireless camera systems.
The VLD wireless camera transmitter operates with TANDBERG Television’s Digital ENG receive solutions to combine the robustness of COFDM modulation with remote synchronization and the power of the MPEG-4 compression algorithm.
The VLD wireless camera provides RF output of between 2.2GHz and 2.6GHz. It weighs 2 pounds and has low-power consumption of 9.4W.
