The New York Times Company names new senior VP, Digital Operations
The New York Times Company has named Martin A. Nisenholtz, CEO, New York Times Digital, senior vice president of Digital Operations. The appointment is effective immediately. Nisenholtz will continue to report to Janet L. Robinson, president and CEO, The New York Times Company. In his new role, Nisenholtz will be responsible for the strategy development, operations and management of The New York Times Company's digital properties, including About.com.
Nisenholtz, 49, was named chief executive officer of New York Times Digital in 1999 after having served as president of The New York Times Electronic Media Company since 1995. During that time, he was responsible for the development and delivery of electronic products centered around the content of the newspaper.
