TNT Sports adds interactivity
TNT Sports and Txtstation are partnering to bring a new viewing experience to NBA fans that will allow them to interact with telecasts. The first use of the system was during TNT’s NBA coverage last night.
Under the partnership, TNT will use Txtstation TV during live sports broadcasts. The collaboration covers a range of real-time concepts enabling an interactive viewing experience for fans and viewers through TXT/SMS voting each week.
The Txtstation experience engages viewers in real time and creates new standards in broadcasting where a sponsor can integrate its brand within a game, while the broadcaster drives TV ratings.
According to TNT, the technology helps it achieve its biggest priority during sports coverage, namely to bring fans as close to the action as possible.
The Txtstation TV animated graphics collate and display viewers' votes instantly and allow programmable triggers based on actual responses, ensuring maximum participation.
