TNT turns to aerial HD from Helinet for NBA season
TNT will use the services of Helinet Aviation Services for live, high-definition aerial shots from its Helinet/Cineflex HiDEF camera platform for nine NBA games during the first half of the NBA season.
Use of the aerial HD platform will begin Nov. 2 with the Detroit Pistons' home opener against the Houston Rockets.
Along with the Helinet/Cineflex HiDEF camera platform, Helinet is providing TNT with a helicopter, pilot and camera operator for a complete, high-definition aerial solution.
The Helinet/Cineflex HiDEF system captures and transmits aerial high definition images for live broadcast in the United States. Helinet previously worked with TNT to provide live, aerial hi-def shots of the Staples Center and the downtown Los Angeles skyline during last season's Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
