Utah Scientific made available the MC-400 HD/SD channel branding system. It offers increased signal-management flexibility — both as a standalone product or as part of a multichannel master control system under the control of an MC-2020 master control network.
All MC-400 signal processing electronics sit on a single board, which can be installed in any output slot of the UTAH-400 digital routing switcher. UTAH-400's flexible I/O ports enable the MC-400 to eliminate any need for external connections between the router and master control electronics while also allowing full access to every signal available within the router.
The MC-400 also features a signal-sensing capability that determines the standard of the reference signal input, which in turn enables transitions between SD and HD operation as appropriate. This capacity allows the channel output to be repurposed easily for use with various signal formats during the course of normal operations. To accommodate signals, such as key signals that may not be present in the router, the MC-400 provides external inputs for all major signals.
