Venue Services Group (VSG) has selected Leitch routing, processing and video server products from Harris to create two single-rack profile turnkey systems designed to drop into any existing broadcast facility. The first two VSG Value Systems — the RTR-200 routing system and the MCR-200 master control system — were introduced at NAB2006.
VSG chose a range of products from the Harris portfolio for its new systems, including the Leitch Integrator Gold wideband digital multi-rate router and Panacea compact routing switcher; 6800+ modular processing products; master sync pulse generator; and a NEXIO SD baseband video server with integrated storage.
The MCR-200 is a pre-engineered, complete master control system that provides a cost-effective solution for adding channels to any broadcast facility. The system features a self-contained, SDI 16 x 16 router, analog-to-digital conversion of video and audio, audio embedding and de-embedding, wired patch panels with cords included, a 24-port gigabit switch, all redundant power supplies, downstream keying, 140 hours of variable-bit-rate video at 12Mb/s server storage and an uninterruptible power supply to maintain on-air system operation during a power changeover.
