Zaxcom’s ZFR100 miniature audio recorder with stereo adapter is now generally available. The new stereo adapter and time code interface integrates with the ZFR100 to provide two balanced audio inputs that eliminate ground loop problems. The adapter's dedicated time code input synchronizes the time code generator inside the ZFR100 and supports automated loading of audio onto the memory card. This enables an exact match of audio recorded on the ZFR100 and audio/video recorded on camera.
This new interface also features a time code/audio out connector that can be used as an audio monitor for playback from the memory card, or as a time code output to jam other devices. The new adaptor is equipped with an 8- to 16v DC input, which externally powers the unit when used in a sound bag.
