2008 Olympics: Utah Scientific Delivers HD Routers
Utah Scientific has delivered a large package of routing switchers for use at the upcoming summer games in Beijing, consisting of four large Utah-400 HD routers for use in the main broadcast center and 34 smaller Utah-100 HD routers for use in the various event venues.
“We have been working with the games’ host broadcaster for many years now and are proud to have been selected to supply these additional routers for this year’s event,” said Scott Bosen, director of marketing at Utah Scientific, based in Salt Lake City. “The coverage of this year’s games will be increasingly based on HD and we are very happy to play a part in this exciting evolution in sports broadcasting.”
In addition to providing the new systems, Utah Scientific will re-fit the host broadcaster’s existing Utah-400 routers for expanded HD capacity, and upgrade its system controllers to provide the full set of its flagship SC-4 router control system.
