Warner Home Video is advising retailers that some of its four early Blu-ray movie titles may have been shipped to stores in recent days with at least some copies mislabeled with incorrect specs for the audio tracks.
According to High-Def Digest online, the titles -- including "Training Day," "Good Night and Good Luck," "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" and "Rumor Has It..." -- were originally set to include Dolby Digital-Plus soundtracks. That format reportedly was dropped from the final released versions, and instead, they come with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.
A Warner exec said despite the company's best efforts to discard the erroneously labeled boxes, some of them apparently got through in some initial shipments. The labeling error was reportedly first discovered by early adopters who posted comments on various Blu-ray Web sites.
