A Taste of HD
Warner Hanson Television and KCTS/Seattle Public TV have teamed up to produce Chefs A’Field, the first HD cooking show to be produced for U.S. television. The 13 half-hour programs, distributed by American Public Television, will air on public TV stations on Saturdays beginning Jan. 4.
Chefs A’Field will showcase regional American cuisine, enriched by stories of food history, scenes shot at harvest peak and interactions between the chefs and their food sources. Each episode starts a well-known restaurant and chef, who travels to the food suppliers and then creates the dish in a how-to session.
The project includes funding from Whole Foods Market, The W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the USDA’s Sustainable Agriculture Program.
