ABC to Use Broadcast Monitoring Technology

published ABC has reached a deal with Teletrax--a subsidiary of MediaLink Worldwide--to electronically monitor the U.S. television promotions for shows such as "Alias," "NYPD Blue" and "The Bachelor."
The Teletrax monitoring technology is based on Phillips Watercast video watermarking system, supported by a license to intellectual property from Digimarc--provider of digital watermarking technologies.
Other entertainment companies who have contracted with UK-based Teletrax to track broadcast video content include Tribune Entertainment, Universal Domestic Television, Reuters Television and NBC News Channel.
