Abu Dhabi Media Company serves up clips with EVS
Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC), a provider of broadcast services in the city of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, has selected EVS servers for its new HD mobile production vehicle and for its recently completed tapeless HD production workflow in the studio.
ADMC was founded in June 2007 to carry out all media-related activities for Abu Dhabi, including broadcasting and production.
The media company has purchased eight six-channel HD XT[2] production servers to handle ingest and super motion capabilities onboard the production van and an EVS XFile[2] external hard drive disk for removable storage. The EVS IP Director media management system gives ADMC the ability to control the XT[2] easily, allowing for ingest, storage, logging, archiving and easy interaction with third-party tools, including NLEs and post-production equipment.
In the studio, a similar setup ensures ingest of new material on one six-channel HD XT[2] server, with nearline storage available via the XStore[2]. The IPDirector manages all servers on the network and enables all users to see all media anywhere on the network, whether it was ingested from the mobile vehicle or in the studio.
