AGC To Run Digital Converter Project
The Association for Maximum Service Television has tapped AGC Systems to manage its Terrestrial Digital Converter Box Project.
AGC--a video technology consulting firm--will manage the development, production and evaluation of a digital-to-analog box. The NAB is working with MSTV to develop the specs for the box that will convert ATSC VSB digital transmission and MPEG coding to NTSC.
Aldo Cugnini, president of Long Valley, N.J.-based AGC Systems, said the converter box will demonstrate that a high-quality, low cost product is achievable.
MSTV is accepting proposals until July 22. For more information, contact Victor Tawil at vtawil@mstv.org .
