The price of Andrew Corporation's popular Heliax transmission line increased Monday, Sept. 6. Andrew said the approximately seven percent increase in list prices was necessary to cover higher material costs for metals and petrochemicals used in manufacturing the cable. John Desana, group president of cable products at Andrew explained, "Andrew strives to minimize the impact of rising prices on our customers through manufacturing process improvements and commodity hedging programs. This partial recovery of higher material costs will enable Andrew to continue delivering industry-leading HELIAX products that exceed customer quality and performance standards."
The revised list prices are posted at www.andrew.com/catalog38/price_list.aspx. The announcement said pricing terms that exist under current customer contracts will not be affected.
