Anteon Taps Harris for U.S. Army Training System
Harris Broadcast Communications Division is working with the IT and engineering company Anteon to provide its video content management and distribution system for the U.S. Army.
Harris--working as a subcontractor to Anteon--will help implement the Combat Training Center Objective Instrumentation Systems Program, which will be deployed at the Fort Irwin, Calif. Technology company Lockheed Martin is leading the combat program.
The Harris system will digitally transport, ingest, store and analyze video data captured during training activities with night-vision cameras, handheld cameras and fixed camera locations.
Harris Invenio will provide metadata tagging search and retrieval. The project will also use Harris NetVX high-speed connectivity for video networks and Harris DataPlus WAN for media management.
